The Women in Art Prize is now open go to the dedicated page to enter the Women In Art Prize open to emerging women painters and photographers in the UK.
DATES
Entries opened at 9 am on 8th March
Entries close on 8th June at midnight.
22 Finalists will take part in an Exhibition in London in the summer of 2024
SELECTION
Selection for the exhibition will be made solely on the artwork submitted, but to be eligible for the The Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize 2022, the entrant must provide an artist's statement that demonstrates how this award would impact on their opportunity to expand their practice, how they aim to develop and further their career: this statement should be no more than 300 words in length.
CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY
Any female artist over 18 may submit providing they are living and working in the UK. Overseas artists may enter to win the Prize for Best Overseas Artist
Acceptable media: Paintings in watercolour, oil, pastel or acrylic. Mixed media will be accepted providing the work has a significant paint content.
Work must have been completed in the last two years.
Maximum of two works submitted. Only one work will be chosen.
Works should not be larger than 1 metre wide or 130 cm high (including the frame).
Paintings should be completely dry at the time of delivery.
All work must be for sale. Commission on sales is 38%.
Exhibited works must be framed unless agreed with admin beforehand.
