Katy Richfield is a renowned international art curator with over 25 years of experience working across leading museums, galleries, and private collections worldwide. Throughout her career, she has curated and collaborated on exhibitions featuring some of the most influential artists of the modern and contemporary era, including Marina Abramovic, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Damien Hirst, and Jeff Koons to name just a few.

Katy’s extensive curatorial background includes serving as Art and Collection Manager at Moco Museum (with locations in London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona), where she led international exhibitions and artist collaborations. She has also worked as an Old Master Specialist at Christie’s, and Art and Exhibitions Advisor to Sir Paul Smith, overseeing the curation and presentation of his exhibition projects.

In Australia, Katy founded contemporary art galleries, representing leading Indigenous and contemporary artists, and has curated hundreds of exhibitions that fostered cross-cultural dialogue and creative exchange.

As Art Curator for the Women in Art Prize, Katy brings her global expertise and passion for promoting equality in the arts to champion emerging female artists. Her curatorial approach celebrates creativity, diversity, and artistic excellence-helping to elevate women’s voices and strengthen their visibility in the international art landscape.
