We are delighted to announce Katy Richfield as Curatorial Advisor for the Women in Art Prize 2026.

Katy is an accomplished art curator and specialist with over 20 years of experience spanning leading galleries, auction houses, and museums across the globe. Her expertise covers contemporary, modern, and historical art, with particular strengths in curating exhibitions, managing artist partnerships, overseeing public sculpture projects, and driving international museum collaborations.

Throughout her distinguished career, Katy has held senior roles with Moco Museum across its London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona locations, and served as Art Curator and Advisor for Sir Paul Smith, sourcing and selling works by renowned artists including Picasso, Warhol, Kusama, and Hockney.

Her commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices runs deep. In Sydney, Katy founded and directed three contemporary art galleries specialising in Indigenous Aboriginal Australian art, building strong relationships with artists and collectors while raising international recognition for Indigenous voices.

With a degree in Art History and 25 years of experience in buying and selling art, Katy combines deep art historical knowledge with sharp commercial acumen. Her career began at Richard Green Fine Art and Christie’s, specialising in 19th–20th century art and Old Masters.

Having served as a judge for the Women in Art Prize 2025, Katy already understands our mission and values. We are thrilled to expand her role as she helps shape the artistic direction of next year’s prize alongside our Honorary Chairwoman, Arngunnur Ýr Gylfadóttir.

Welcome, Katy.
