We are delighted to welcome Sophie Parker as Photography Judge for the Women in Art Prize 2026.

Sophie is the Director of Photo London, one of the world’s leading photography fairs. Having joined the fair in 2018 as Gallery Development Manager, she was appointed Associate Director in 2021 before taking the helm as Director in 2024. Her rapid rise reflects both her exceptional talent and her deep commitment to championing photography as a vital contemporary art form.
Prior to Photo London, Sophie honed her expertise at Cristea Roberts Gallery and RA Magazine, building a strong foundation across the commercial gallery and editorial sides of the art world. She holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Cultural Politics from Goldsmiths, University of London and a BA Hons in History of Art and Design from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Sophie also sits on the Advisory Board for The Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant, demonstrating her ongoing dedication to supporting emerging talent and visual storytelling.
With her unparalleled expertise in photography, Sophie is perfectly placed to assess the photographic entries to the Women in Art Prize. We are thrilled to have her discerning eye and deep knowledge guiding our recognition of outstanding women photographers.
