The Women in Art Prize, one of the UK’s leading platforms for celebrating female artists, will open its 2026 submissions on International Women’s Day, March 8th, 2026. This symbolic launch date reinforces the prize’s commitment to amplifying women’s voices in the contemporary art world.
This year’s prize program offers an unprecedented scope of opportunities, with over £10,000 in prize money across multiple categories. From the £1,500 main awards in Painting, Photography, and Sculpture to specialized recognition for emerging talents and artists from diverse backgrounds, the prize continues to evolve and expand its support for women artists.

International artists are encouraged to participate through our dedicated Overseas Prize (£1,000), which will include professional mentoring and media coverage opportunities.
